AC193 Method B |
Testing per AC 193 Method B is a lower cost and more rapid alternative to Method A for testing concrete anchor bolts and provides ICC Certification for anchor bolts for concrete applications. AC 193 Method B measures the bolts sensitivity to hydrogen embrittlement by employing the rising step load method based on ASTM F1624 which offers more then a pass/fail result for the concrete anchor. Unlike Method A, AC193 Method B provides a distinct threshold limit load, informing the user how much load can be applied safely on the anchor so that a rational factor of safety can be determined. |
